I. Introduction
Article 1. General
The T-film International Film Festival (hereafter “Festival“) is a
competitive film festival whose aim is to contribute to the public awareness and
promotion of human activities, creation, technology, inventions and protection
of fauna and flora. This also includes universe, space, environmental, social,
global inspiration, new technologies, talent development and talent support,
protection of traditions and cultural heritage, and care and preservation of
technical and industrial monuments.

Article 1.3 Festival dates
The 10th T-film International Film Festival will take place in primary, high
schools and universities in Ostrava, Opava and Český Těšín, Czech Republic,
1st – 31th October 2022.
II. Programme
Article 2.1 Festival programme
The Festival programme consists of competitive and non-competitive screenings of
films, seminars, discussions with filmmakers, workshops, interactive exhibitions
and other accompanying events.
Films, documentaries and television programmes will be presented at the T-film Festival regardless of their number. One filmmaker may submit more than one film to the competition. Participation in other festivals does not prohibit participation in the IFF T-film .
The content of films corresponds to the focus of the Festival.
III. Submission Guidelines
Article 3.1 Submitters
The person submitting the film acknowledges that he or she has obtained consent
from any and all authorized representatives of the film to submit the film to
the T-film International Film Festival.
Article 3.2 Selection Committee and Screening Schedule
Films are selected by a committee of experts functioning as an advisory body to
the Festival Director. The Committee under the supervision of the Festival
Director determines the programme schedule including the screening order
of films.
Article 3.3 Selected Films and Screening Format
Only films completed after January 1, 2016 can be included in the Festival
official programme. Formats of films accepted into the Festival official
programme will be specified after the film is officially submitted. All films
included into the Festival programme are screened with Czech subtitles or
dubbed.
• Duration of films is from approx. 3 minutes to approx. 95 minutes,
• format is MPEG2 PAL 720×576 (4:3/16:9) file type: video.mpg/video.m2p, or
a DVD with PAL format,
• at least 10 seconds of BLACK on the video before the film starts and at
least 10 seconds of BLACK on the video before the film ends,
• number of copies: 1
Organizers reserve the right to disqualify films that do not meet the set
parameters from the competition as well as from the screening schedule.
• By submitting the entry form, submitters grant permission to the Festival
organizers to give extracts from submitted films free of charge to any TV
stations in the Czech Republic or to show them on the Internet for the purpose
of promotion. This extract must not be more than 3 minutes in length. In the
appropriate column of the entry form the author can grant permission to
broadcast the whole film within the Festival promotion.
Article 3.4 Other Requested Materials
• If the author has photographs or other visual promotion materials related to
a competitive film (in an electronic form, preferably in .jpg format), he or she
will send them with the film. These materials can be used to promote the film
within the Festival in the media and on the website www.t-film.cz. By sending these materials, the
author grants permission to use them within the T-film IFF presentation. • The
Festival organizers must receive a synopsis of every submitted film. If the
author does not fill in a short presentation of the film with its content and
theme in an online entry form, he or she will send it with the film. Synopses
are very important for appropriate presentation of the film on the Festival
website and in the media.
Article 3.6 Screening Copies Archiving
Screening copies of submitted films (DVDs) and the originals of awarded films
stay in the Festival archive. The original copies of unawarded films will be
returned to their submitters after the end of the Festival only upon written
request.
IV. Jury and Prizes
Article 4.1 General Rules
The grand jury will be established by the Festival management in accordance with
the Regulations.
The author or the submitter of a competitive film cannot be a jury member.
All jury members are sworn to secrecy.
The decisions of the jury are final.
Article 4.2 Prizes
The Grand Jury awards the following prizes:
• Grand Prix
• The Prize in the category The Green Planet
• The Prize in the category The Man and Society
• The Prize in the category The Inspiration
• Award of the Deputy Governor of Moravian Silesian Region for Culture and
Monument Care
• Award of the Mayor of Opava
• Award of the Silesian Museum
• Ostrava Museum Award
• Opava Cultural Organization Award
• The Prize of the PERSEUS team
• The Prize of the Jury
• Honorable mention of the Jury
Prizes will be awarded at the Festival closing ceremony on 14th October 2022 in Hotel Mercury Ostrava, Czech Republic. Some of the prizes may not be awarded as it is the right of the grand jury.
V. Conclusion
Article 5.1
Participation at the Festival implies agreement with the Regulations.
